© Bernt RostadAre you a victim of allergy who also loves alcohol, then time has come to give it a miss as studies indicate that alcohol can aggravate common symptoms of asthma and hay fever such as coughing, itching, headache and sneezing?
Drinks such as wine, beer and liquor contain histamine which sets off allergy symptoms. Beer and wine also include sulfite which tends to provoke asthma and other allergy related symptoms. Red and white wine have also been found out to trigger allergy symptoms and women are twice as likely to be affected as men.
As per study published in the journal Clinical and Experimental Allergy, it has been found out that consuming more than two glasses of wine a day doubles the risk of allergy symptoms.
At the end of the day women are more susceptible to allergies by consuming alcohol as compared to men.
